Eric Lifschitz is the founding partner of LEDA Law Firm (2017) which he began in 2002 as his law practice under his name alone. In the 15 plus years of practice, Eric has built a team of dedicated social justice advocates that solely represent tenants, primarily for habitability claims and personal injuries including exposure to toxic mold or other dangerous conditions. LEDA Law Firm has also taken on many of the largest property owners and managers in San Francisco in tenant-based class action matters ranging from issues such as unlawful bed bug provisions to illegal late fees.
Eric L. has been a member of the EDC Board sine 2011 and began his tenure as Board president in January 2015. Working collaboratively with the full board, Eric has overseen major transitions at the EDC including a forced relocation from its longstanding Market street address to transitions in EDC leadership. He also provides community based free seminars of Tenants Rights Made Easy to help empower tenants thru greater understanding of their rights and being self advocacy.
Shirley Gibson is Directing Attorney for the HomeSavers Project at the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County/Sobrato Center for Nonprofits. She is a graduate of New College of California, School of Public Interest. Before coming to Legal Aid, she was a staff attorney at Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco for five years. Shirley has been a member of the EDC Board since 2011 and is acting board Secretary as well as a sitting member of the Board Development committee.
Josephine Alioto is a Partner at Lifschitz, Ezrin, Darsky & Alioto (LEDA Law Firm). She is a San Francisco native dedicated to serving those from underprivileged communities throughout the Bay Area. As a tenants’ rights attorney, Josephine is committed to protecting and advocating for tenants who suffer from severe habitability issues as a result of mistreatment and neglect.
Mary Iseri is the founder and president at BCI Accounting Services with over 35 years experience in accounting, bookkeeping and budgeting. Mary immigrated to San Francisco from Philippines where she started her business and together with her husband, had raised two children. She has been on the EDC Board since 2016 and sit on the Finance committee.
Eric Toscano is the CEO & Managing Attorney at Toscano Law Group, PC, a tenant rights and personal injury law firm he founded in January 2016. An advocate on behalf of San Francisco tenants since 2013, Eric represents tenants who have been subjected to substandard living conditions, harassed, or forced out of rent-controlled apartments. He has been a member of the EDC Board since 2015 and currently serves as the Chair of the Board Development Committee, whose charge is to evaluate current practices for recruitment, retention, and transition of Board members to and from the EDC Board.
Jason Wolford is the founder of Wolford Law, a tenants’ rights law firm with a focus on wrongful eviction and eviction defense as well as employment law and personal injury. Jason currently sits on the Board Development committee, whose charge is to evaluate current practices for recruitment, retention, and transition of Board members to and from the EDC Board.
Greg Wright works at Twitter as a Technical Operations Manager. He grew up in Oakland, currently resides in San Francisco, and has spent most of his life in the Bay Area. He supports tenants’ rights and is proud to have served on the EDC board since 2016. He chairs the board’s technology committee
Sacha Zadmehran is a certified public accountant and principal in the Forensic and Financial Consulting Services Group at Hemming Morse. Sacha is also an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University where he teaches forensic accounting to graduate students. Sacha has been a member of the EDC Board since XXX. He is currently the EDC Board treasurer and chairs the finance committee. He also sits on the Board technology development committee.
