The EDC and partnering agencies are submitting a letter challenging Proposition Q to the SFPD to request that Proposition Q not be enacted based on the US Department of Justice determination that such laws are unconstitutional and in violation of the Eighth Amendment.
We are requesting that you or your agency support our efforts to keep Proposition Q from being enacted on January 1, 2017 by modifying a template letter we have generated and sending it to the contacts we’ve identified. We encourage you to make any additions that feel appropriate for your respected mission.
We will be emailing our letter on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 and emailing our press contacts with our press release on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
